(1)How it Started : The West African Invasion.The overthrow of Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 was a disaster and tragedy for not just the Libyan people, but all of Africa. This crime was carried out by the world’s self-appointed guardians of democracy
(2)joining forces to unleash an imperialist assault on a country under the rubric of protecting civilians in the midst of a domestic and internal crisis, while in truth exploiting said crisis to effect regime change.
(3) As the violence and chaos that ensued from the vacuum left in Libya spread West, France had no choice than to unilaterally intervene, to save the people of Mali and secure the country. There are 4,500 French troops in Mali and Niger today.
(4)There are 1,800 U.S troops in Niger Republic. A smaller component of 500 are Army Green Beret units are advising and assisting Niger’s military. There are an additional 300 U.S. military personnel in neighboring Burkina Faso and Cameroon doing the same thing.
(5)They are there as part of what’s known as the Lake Chad. Niger has officially become an American military base. American engagement in Niger remains the second largest on the continent, after Djibouti.
(6)A senior Nigerien military commander said that the U.S military has an expansionist agenda in the country and constantly pushes for more missions on the ground. In Cameroon, U.S Special Forces work closely with the Brigade d’intervention rapide, an Israeli-trained unit
(7)In 2017 Amnesty International found that on a small base in Salak, near the border of Nigeria that U.S soldiers shared with the B.I.R., at least sixty people “were subjected to water torture, beaten with electric cables and suspended with ropes, among other abuses.
(8) There is little hope that the France and the US will stop putting heavy emphasis on military solutions in West Africa. In fact, Niger has become a key staging ground for American and French drone flights. Nigeria will never be allowed the luxury of peace and security.
(9) Nigerians have grown so accustomed to strife we've become numb to the fact that in the last 18 years Nigeria has enjoyed absolute peace for only 3 years. There is a rear guard battle to stop the emergence of a black superpower endowed with human and material resources
(10)Under cover of the law and because of unsubstantiated claims of violations of human rights by our troops, we can not have access to appropriate strategic weapons to fight this war. Thank God for countries like China and Russia.
(11)Nigerians should know who the true enemy is. Its not Boko Haram. Boko Haram was hijacked years ago and is now controlled opposition. Its so compartmentalized that even the fighters may not know they are being used as a tool
(12)The enemy of Nigeria are the entites who have vowed to keep Nigeria from reaching her potentials by creating an ecosystem of self perpetrating strife and violence. The fall of Sambisa in 2016 came as a big shock to the powers that be.
(13)So what do they do? They setup shop this time in our backyard to keep an eye on things and make sure it never happens again.
