As soon as we’re able to venture out, and if I have any money left (???) I wanna go to Mr Gos for a chicken gua bao with that herb & peanut slaw & their sriracha garlic mayo. And their popcorn tofu with Fix & Fogg Smoke &Fire satay sauce.
And their Taiwanese popcorn chicken but instead of the Thai basil mayo, I’d have sriracha garlic mayo cos omg I love that shit. And their kung pao cauliflower. And their vege fried rice with edamame & bok choy & peas & what not. And their shoestring fries with sambal oelek mayo.
And I wanna go to Oikos & get their baked feta with the crispy golden sesame crust, drizzled w/ honey. Oh sweet fancy Moses. And their Kleftiko - hot dang, the best slow cook lamb in town imho. With the roasted oregano potatoes & the wee salad of tomato & cucumber & feta & olives
And oh their chicken kalamaki, which I’d have with lashings of tzatziki, and I’d get the raw zucchini, feta, mint & pine nut salad too, & the couscous with almond & sundried tomatoes & parsley. And I’d have red wine & white wine & bubbles & ouzo too.
And I’d go to The Ramen Shop for their General Tso’s tofu steamed buns, & their chicken karaage ones too, & the Shoyu Shiitake Ramen.
And omg, Viva Mexico’s deep fried jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese. And their Aztec tomato corn tortilla soup with chicken & cheese & sour cream & avocado. And their deep fried chicken flautas with cheese, salsa and beans.
And from La Boca Loca if that was still open (oh how I wish it was) I’d have 4 tacos - 2 Manuka-smoked & 2 beer-battered fish ones both with lashings of chipotle mayonnaise. And omg their hot cheesey thing of oozey baked ricotta, cheddar & feta, with corn chips.
And 2 portions of their guacamole which was an outstanding guacamole imho. Omg their spicy fried potatoes and chipotle mayo too: help me Rhonda.

And from Loretta I would like their woodfired dill, creme fraiche, buffalo mozzarella pizza bread thing.
And I’d like old Nikau’s kedgeree, and their cheese scones, and their haloumi salad.

And oh! Laksa from Satay Village! With extra soup! And 3 spring rolls, and 6 satay sticks, and combination mee goreng, and a roti.

And a masala dosa from Rasa.
OH OH OH, Apache’s bang bang chicken salad! With the lemongrass chicken, and mango and candied cashews and tomatoes and mint and coriander and chili and lime & crispy shallots. Lord help me. And their papaya salad, and their charred eggplant, and their 5-spice jungle curry,
and their tom yum squid, and the salmon parcels, and the wok fried green beans, and their popcorn chicken with extra sriracha mayo.

And I want Chow’s sticky bbq tofu skewers, and their salt & pepper squid, and 2 portions of peking duck gyoza, and their banana leaf wrapped fish
Omg & the Bresolin’s steak tartare which I think is something else, and I don’t even eat beef normally but I make an exception for this cos by crikey it’s👌🏽
And all the gyoza at Kazu. And their agedashi tofu and their teriyaki tofu and their chicken katsu curry, with 2 large bottles of whatever hot sake they recommend.
And I am really rather desperate for chicken larb, and pad Thai with tofu, and a medium spicy green curry. And I’ll have that from pretty much anywhere but I do really rather like Phu Thai Esarn’s. But as I say, anywhere as long as it’s good.
And I want a dozen oysters from WBC and their Goan fish curry, and their fried eggplant, and their market fish with tamarind sauce & mint & cucumber salad. And their duck gado gado with crispy coconut & peanuts. Hello.

And polenta fries from Ombra.
And I’d like those crispy chicken spring rolls from Where’s Charlie.

And a custard square from Aro Bake. And one of their toasted bagels with cream cheese. Any maybe an iced coffee with cream on top.
I also want mushroom arancini from somewhere. Is Polo still doing that? Theirs was very pleasant. And I want pumpkin ravioli w/ sage brown butter & pecorino. And omg, I want saag paneer, and saag aloo, and chicken tikka entree sized with raita and a popadom. And a garlic naan.
And I want a chicken banh mi, and some chicken pho.
Omg & one of Floriditas pint-sized but utterly perfect neenish tarts. I had 5 in 1 sitting once. Fuck yeah. And also their squid ink linguine w/ cloudy bay clams & chilli & lemon & parsley. Served with Jenny Dobson Fiano which I had once before & almost passed out it was so good
And I want a margarita pizza from Scopa drizzled with chili oil and extra parmesan. And an aperol spritz.

And everything ever served at Rita. Basically anything that Kelda has ever made and will ever make, I want to devour.
And I really want salt and pepper soft shell crab. I’d like that by itself (with a spicy mayo on the side) but in a bao from The Old Quarter would do nicely also.
And I’d like grilled halloumi with cucumber, mint & preserved lemon from Capitol. And their fried squid w/ aioli & balsamic rocket, & their Whitebait fritter w/ tartare sauce (even tho’ I know we shouldn’t be eating Whitebait but maybe just this once?)
and maybe some of their sautéed spinach too. And their crispy fried chicken with quinoa, kale & mayo.
And to drink, I’d like a Pisco sour, and a margarita, and a very very filthy martini, and an espresso martini too, and a negroni, and some champagne, and a French 75, and a nice glass of Rose, and also a vanilla milkshake and a soya flat white. And a Bloody Mary. And a mimosa.
Not decided on what I want to eat yet but I'd also like to go to Havana, & Shepherd, & Comes & Goes. Egmont St Eatery too....so many places....God, food is so great innit. Am so grateful to the hospitality people for their beautiful creations & for bringing so much joy & comfort
I'd also love a cheeseburger.
