Just like making music, acting, dancing, fiction writing is also a creative pursuit. It is nice to have a supportive community that encourage you to be productive and surround you with a banter of new knowledge & books.
But just like making music, acting, dancing, in writing you'll notice that there are individuals who are taking it so seriously and getting all competitive. These individuals don't want to be outshined and they're "your friends".
I'm just saying if you're considering starting your writing career by thinking that it has less drama because 'Ah, all writers are introvert. I'm sure they hate conflicts like I do.'

Just, buckle up. It is also a jungle, but an intellectual one and it can mess you up.
To end my thread, let's think of why we write in the first place.

Are you writing for fame and money?
For your self-actualization?
For the love of it?
You know that this thread is totally rhetoric, an idea. I am happy with what I have today. But I am just a person who has few more questions and thoughts to challenge each day.
