what the women from each asoiaf house would wear — a thread

first i have to start with the most iconic house, house lannister. they’re rich and powerful so their clothes would emulate that, using the most expensive dyes fabrics and cuts. here’s what i think a book accurate cersei and myrcella would wear.

next, house stark. house stark lives in the north, so they’d dress warmly and they don’t have much pride, so likely modestly, though they’d still show their station through their fashion. this is what i think book sansa catelyn and arya would wear.

house tyrell is stuck at number 2, so they’d want to show off their wealth as much as possible, especially living at court. this is an example of what i think margaery and her cousins would wear.

daenerys is the last surviving targaryen, living in a foreign land. she is a queen, and has to show her wealth to command respect, which is why she decides to wear the tokars. this is close to what i think she would wear.

house arryn is a very proud one, and the vale can get kind of cold. i think they’d wear decadent and expensive outfits that still shield them from the mountain winds.

house tully isn’t the richest or most proud house in westeros, so i think that while showing their station, ladies of house tully would dress more modestly than others, with bright fabrics to show that they’re noble.

house martell is probably the trickiest one to do because we aren’t quite sure where dorne is supposed to be in the world, and i actually really liked the costumes on got. it’s hot in dorne, so they’d wear loose and flowy light colored fabrics, with jewels to show their wealth.

finally, house baratheon. currently house baratheon is nearly dead and there’s only 2 ladies left and i imagine they aren’t very concerned with fashion in the north. but before cassana died, i think she would dress similarly to this.
