Making a thread for all the koreaboos of African descent bcs I’m tired of seeing floating wigs and leggings worn as pants.

A lot of BW much like myself have taken a liking to kpop and antiblackness aside its not a bad thing. We’re continuously disrespected everywhere we go so we might as well enjoy the things we want guilt-free. It’s sad to think our interests have to align with blackness to be valid

WITH THAT BEING SAID a few black women have taking their interests in kpop a little too far even going on to become Coonstresses and Koreaboos. It’s a huge difference between being a kpop stan and a koreaboo. I’ve never seen not one black koreaboo look together and cute.

Im not encouraging anybody to be a koreaboo ESPECIALLY my queens but if you’re gonna carry your ass to Korea or to a fan meeting please don’t go looking like an hopeful Jerry Springer method actress.

Now the majority of the looks I’ve seen fail on black koreaboos is the Kawaii girl look and it’s so embarrassing. Usually these girls also wear cat ears, lots of pink, and pastel wigs. The thing that makes these wigs terrible is they have NO SCALP!!

Lemme tell you sum. WIGS are for grown folks baby. If you can not afford a nice human hair or mix wig DONT BUY THEM. Nothing on this earth is more beautiful than African textured hair. I hate to sound like an ashy dick hotep but it’s the truth

You could always go au naturale or buy you a couple packs of braiding hair if your wigs never look right. It’s GORGEOUS and attempting to align yourself with the beauty standards of a country that values white skin is going to get you LAUGHED AT.

Here’s a super easy tutorial on how to start a braid with extension hair for my girls that don’t have any help. It’s rough at first but it gets better when you get the hang of it.

If you’re thinking that a hard synthetic helmet wig is better than the hair that grows out of your head it’s SERIOUSLY time to realign your thinking. Featurism has made it to where BW don’t feel pretty with natural hair and it’s sad

If you go to a beauty supply store or online and see that the wig you’re interested in DOESNT HAVE A PART step away from the wig and find the nearest aisle with braiding hair on it. You not ready to sit with grown ppl yet. Again make sure the wig has a part and you can see scalp

Let’s say you find a wig with a part and you can see a scalp. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOUR WORK IS DONE MS.KOREA. Don’t just plop it on your head fresh out of the bag like Ms.Vivica did here. It has to be plucked and the scalp has to be tinted to match your real scalp color!!

Plucking is just removing strands of hair from the front of a wig to make the wig look more natural and like your real hair. Youre gonna need tweezers. As you can see hair was plucked from the baseline and it looks better after.A lot of koreaboos buy the wig and dont pluck.

So just because you plucked doesn’t mean you’re done either. You need to tint the lace to match your real scalp color. I use hair tint and teabags. You just boil some water and add the tint to the water. Afterwards dip the scalp part in. That’s it.

Now if you’re one of the lazy girls and don’t wanna do all that you can use Sally Hansen leg makeup to tint your lace. If I can be of any service to speed the process up and help expedite your trip to Korea to be a sex tourist I guess I will.

I’m moving on to fashions bcs I’m tired of looking at hair. As I mentioned earlier a lot of black koreaboos default look is the Kawaii girl and again it’s not cute at all. Imma cover these young women’s faces. They’ve embarrassed themselves enough as it is.

I’ve noticed that a lot of black koreaboos don’t really have black friends to begin with so it’s hard being surrounded with ppl who aren’t going to tell you if your tracks are showing or if your foundation is too light.

But that’s no excuse. We’re getting too old to still be dressing like a bad fetish and in your attempt to look different from all the other black girls you look insane. Your first task is to stop treating every black girl like competition and actually BEFRIEND ONE.

If you have a decent enough black friend they will tell you in five minutes what your white friends never had the courage to tell you!!! Honestly your white friends knew you looked a mess but didn’t want to sound ignorant.

I want you to go look in the mirror and repeat this phrase: leggings are not pants. Say it with me! LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS. I’ve noticed at a lot of fan meetings especially that y’all still wearing these. Remove these from your home.

Go on Pinterest and look at the aesthetic of the person you think has style. You need to adjust your body type to that aesthetic or mirror it the best you can. You can arrange your Pinterest into different categories. As you can see I have fashion up top and my boos MX on bottom

I used to try to dress so weird and quirky with my thrifted bowling alley shirts to prove I was different. That aesthetic barely hit in the states so what makes y’all koreaboos think it’s gonna hit in East Asia? Humans aren’t much different at all. It’s ok to keep up with trends
