I am hearing that many people are having a really rough time homeschooling, which is extremely understandable under these stressful circumstances. I homeschooled my kids for many years, and when times were stressful, this is what we did: a math lesson every day, reading every....
....day, and writing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also read aloud to them every night before bed. I also provided time for them to get some fresh air and physical activity. Other than that, I tried to have things in the house that they could occupy themselves with that also....
....had educational and creative value. I also found that, given time and space, the kids would think up their own activities and play together. Be patient with yourselves and them. Less can be more. The main thing is to try to keep them up to speed on math and reading, but....
....take it slow. Don’t stress them, or yourselves.💛
And haha — I used the word “also” way too much in this thread.🙃
