I saw so many biligerant men from late 20s-early 50s today purposely—PURPOSELY—being out in public without masks/gloves.

They seemed determined to prove it wasn’t needed. /1

One man in particular, concert tee, flip flops, silver goatee, made a point of making eye contact with me each time we passed in the grocery store (I get fresh produce every 2 weeks)

This happens to me often, men of a certain age locking eyes with me since Covid. /2

My instinct says this is a chest-beating thing on their part.

Since I’m not interested in men, they’re beating for nothing.

But back to this weirdness! /3

Most people, I was happy to see, had masks/gloves. TX is saying one thing, but I’m happy to say people are (mostly) taking it seriously.

An older man, tall, beer-bellied, mask-wearing, began coughing near the lettuce.

The entire shop came to a stop. /4

I did, too. Masked, gloved, I said, “oh, shit. Are you sick??” And pushed off to the other side of the market to finish my list.

Flip-flop goatee, Mr. doesn’t Need a mask, stuck close to me. I growled at one point when he got too close. /5

He stopped following me. Other men were seemingly irritated by all of the distancing and masks. Oh well.

For those who understand biology/ecosystems know what when there’s an imbalance, Nature eventually finds Her balance. /6

My guess is dumb-ass dudes who believe their masculinity will protect them are about to find out what “die-off” means from a biological perspective.

We’re bumping against the sides of the petri dish &the colony will ultimately balance. /7

(I just hate how many innocent people will be caught in this die-off to balance the colony because assholes have something stupid to prove.)

This isn’t a good thread, but I’m still so shell-shocked by the behavior of folks that I can’t think like a smart person.
