Isn't it weird how the best possible concert merch is usually just a shirt with the artist's logo on it but so few acts actually bother to do that because they would rather be clever
I think catchphrases are good too, I remember seeing a Liz Phair show last summer and thinking about how much money she'd pull in if she sold shirts and tote bags that just said FUCK AND RUN on them
When it comes down to it this is the platonic ideal of a band t-shirt - simple and versatile in function, with an iconic logo that serves as a shibboleth for fans - and extremely cheap for the artist to produce!
