How to move on: 9 Steps to Heal from a Broken Relationship
STEP 1- FEEL! Indulge in every emotion that you are experiencing. Do not despise your hurt but allow yourself to grieve.
STEP 2- PRAY! Constantly ask God to give you peace. Realizing that it was God's doing for your good as well as your ex's is key.
Step 3 - VENT! Disclose your emotions and feelings to the RIGHT individuals. Use wisdom in who you share sacred and vulnerable information with. Everything is not for everyone. Talk to those who have experienced break-ups. Become a sponge and take heed to wise counsel.
Step 4- REFOCUS. Totally submit your body, mind and spirit to God. God and healing should become your main focus.
STEP 5 - BOSS UP! Start focusing on yourself. Forgive yourself. Love yourself. Give yourself the attention needed in order to bring clarity to your mind.
STEP 6 - FORGIVE! Pray for your ex. The relationship ended but that does not mean that you should become spiteful and repulsive.
Step 7 - LET GO! Get rid of all negative spirits. Ignore all unsolicited advice. Completely indulge in God, his word and his love.
Step 8 - BELIEVE! Pray that God will build mend and heal your broken heart in preparation for a “whole” you. Believe that this season is a season needed in order to become the best version of yourself and that ultimately God will use this to get the glory out of your life.
Step 9 - OBEY! Allow God’s timing to rule your life and not your own. It’s imperative to remain silent, accept that the relationship did not work and MOVE ON.
