@projectwritten You know, I was just scrolling through my wishlist on Steam and saw Silence the pedant. So you guys just gave up? Haven't seen a tweet about it. Some of this arts makes references but no direct confirmation. Nothing. Radio Silence.
@projectwritten So I wondered maybe there's news? Yours news page- https://www.projectwritten.com/en/news . Last updated december 2018 And no word. I was a patreon for months, made an impassioned post wondering why you missed the deadline, and got a response-
Fault Milestone One-Aug 9 2013
Fault MileStone Two: Side: Above Sep 8, 2015
Fault Silence the Pedant: October 2017 originally IIRC
But postponed with no official updates and very little if notice
Mhakna Gramura and Fairy Bell-February 19, 2018
And now 2020, nearly three times your dev cycle, and you're working on another game? Why? What? No news on your other game? I get it, this isn't important...but accountability is still something, and I've given you a couple hundred not including purchases of games.
So I wonder-why is this game on steam at all? If it's been put so much on the back burner after being in dev hell for so long why not just give up on it? Delete the page on your website for it-remove the steam page-and officially announce it's no longer a worthy investment
Or just give some announcement that you're redesigning it and officially giving some sort of statement. This thread is spawned by the comment above in reply to a user asking what kind of content can we expect, you guys haven't made anything recently.
And this made me angry-you guys are supported by Patreons, and so far, have not been accountable or made games or delivered updates on the games people want to see from you. You've been porting and doing localizations/translations...but not developing.
And it's at this point, that as you are supported by your community, don't just give them some fobbish answer like the one above. Actually support your community. Endeavor to give them the updates and info they deserve as patrons of your service which you don't supply anymore...
Since you're starting to be behind on your own two year development cycle, which is the only cycle they have to hold you too, since you don't give any info yourself. You only put out art and do livestreams...
Which, if that's all you're going to do, fine-but then change your patreon to Alice in Dissonance is making art and doing livestreams of the games we used to make because being accountable is hard...
But giving fobbish answers to your community is easy. Or just not giving answers at all. These people give you their hard earned money, which especially in a pandemic, should not be taken lightly.
And finally, I don't want answers-I no longer back you because frankly, your lack of accountability and clear lack of professionalism have turned me off to your games. So any reply to this is useless...But actually starting giving clear and concrete information...
