I want to show readers one interpretation of "The Rapture" some Christians are taught and how a whole prophesy has been carefully crafted to fit modern 20-21 Century events. The book is called "25 signs we are near the end." It's a peek at the Dominionist Christian worldview.

I'm posting a copy of the Table of Contents.

Remember, this is what people are taught (indoctrinated) to believe is happening imminently. Millions of people believe this is real prophesy.

After each tweet, I'll provide commentary to explain as best as I can.

Sign 1 The Miracle of Israel’s Survival
Sign 2 As Their Enemies Have Done to Israel, So God Will Do to Them

The Rapture prophesy has been around for awhile. But became popular after Israel was established, So the war to establish Israel is referred to as a miracle. Israel is given a pass on every human rights abuse because it is considered always to have been under attack.

Sign 3 Israel Will Miraculously Return to its Ancient Homeland in the “Last Days.”
Sign 4 The Nation Will Return In Two Stages
Sign 5 Jerusalem Will be United under Israeli Rule
Sign 6 Israel Will be in the World’s Spotlight

Confirmation bias because Israel has been established. I am uncertain what the two stages are. I believe the West Bank is a united Israel. West Bank developments have Rapture believers edgy and certain the end is near. Israel has been in the world's spotlight over many wars.

Sign 9 In the Last Days, Certain Specified Nations Will Invade Israel (Ezekiel 38,39)
Sign 10 The Nations Missing from the Ezekiel 38,39 Invasion

The push for peace has been since its inception. Third Temple has not yet been planned, yet. Iran is one of the nations expected to invade. That's why Trump has such a hate for Iran. I'm uncertain which other nations are expected, but I assume other Muslim Middle Eastern nations.

Sign 11 No Superpower Will Intervene on Israel’s Behalf When They are Invaded (Ezekiel 38,39): Something Will Happen to the United States
Sign 12 There Will Be a Ten Nation Confederation in Western Europe (The Revival of the Ancient Roman Empire)

I've made reference to this before. Destruction of the US as a superpower and a nation is prophesized. Dominionists expect destruction. Also explains their nationalism and reluctance to engage in wars. the European Union is larger than 10, but its believed to signify end times.

The UN is hated, as are its subordinate organizations like WHO. Weird since it is Dominionists working towards a One World Order, not Western Democracies. PMJT is a contender for World Leader. The Age of Information was predicted. I'll deal with Sign 16 at the end of this thread.

Sign 17 The World Will Be Characterized by Lawlessness
Sign 18 The World Will Be Characterized by Violence
Sign 19 The Organized Church Will Turn Away from the Faith (Apostasy)
Sign 20 There Will Be a Rise in False Prophets, False Teachers, and False Christs

Lawlessness and violence describes the Dominionist Christian leadership and their connection to organized crime. There is a trend moving away from organized religious institutions like Catholicisism, Lutheranism and other sects, & increase in independent churches.

Apostasy is referred to as rejecting the bible as the divinely inspired word of god. That's why so many churches are adopting the Bible as the actual word of god. Using a book written 2-3 thousand years ago to inform modern limitations on freedom.

Strangely enough, the false prophets being referred to are pastors, reverends and priests who have a more humanist or liberalist understanding of the bible and the message of Jesus. They are considered apostates and false Christians. So are their congregations, & Pope Francis I.

Dominionists do not consider Trump a false prophet or a false Christ. They consider him a modern Cyrus. A broken flawed man sent by god to deliver them to the Rapture. Obama was considered a false prophet or false Christ. Thus the hate for him.

Sign 21 There Will Be a Rise in Anti-Semitism

Sign 24 The Wicked Will Not Understand the Signs of the Times

Certainly white nationalists have delivered increased antisemitism. Many conspiracy theories exist regarding the persecution of Christians (South Africa, Middle East countries, Bolivia). if you doubt the Rapture and prophesy, you are deemed an unbeliever & influenced by Satan.

Since this information is typically only shared within the Dominionist community, you are considered wicked if you haven't been given an understanding of the signs. Dominionists share these secrets among themselves, using coded language and covert information sharing.

That's an overview of one author's version of the Rapture: When god fearing Domnionist Christians will be taken up to heaven and the rest of us are left to suffer here on earth.

There are millions of people that believe this version of Dominionist dogma. In the US & in Canada.

They believe this is true and hang on Trump's every word, listening for signs.

As for Sign 16... Plagues and Pestilence. COVid-19 is considered a sign of End Times.
In many of these end times predictions, there are descriptions of millions of dead leading up to the Rapture.

One is the invasion of Israel. It is expected hundreds of millions will die in that war. The bloodier the better. It means it really is the end the more dead there are. The other confirmation of end times is plagues and pestilence.

So you can see why Dominionist Christians would be advocating for an increase in infections, not fewer. Why there was talk of a "herd effect" by some democratric nations (including by Trump), and little action taken by Dominionist or far right leaders who had prior knowledge.

It also explains the desire to remove self distancing and return to work. Canadian conservatives are advocating to ease self distancing, return to work and open Parliament. Do all of them believe this is end times and they are about to be Raptured?

I cant confirm either way. But I was raised Catholic. We didn't talk about End of Days much. We worried about ensuring we got to go to heaven, when we had finished living our life.

But my aunt, a devout Catholic, is currently calling me regularly to make my peace with god.

That is weird. The Rapture is mostly an Evangelical prophesy. So, maybe some Catholics are turning towards Rapture prophesy.

But there is no doubt that Canadian conservatives, Scheer, O'Toole, Cooper, Poilievre, Kenney, are all advocating for back to work sooner than later.

Every one of them is a devout far right traditional Catholic.

We don't typically like to discuss people's faith, but when those beliefs are in conflict with public health orders while a deadly pandemic has taken over the world, it may be about time that Taboo is re-examined.

There is a reason my fear factor increased over the last couple months. Because Dominionist Christians are a scary bunch.

I've written about them before. Passed on Professor Gagne material. Tried desperately to warn people.

I'm doing that again.

Dominionists have been working on incrementally activating a 40 year long plan to install One World Government, Christianize the globe and rule a theocracy.

Trump, Morrison, Netanyahu, Putin, Bolsonaro, Orban are all part of the Dominionist movement, and members of IDU.

Thing is, Dominionism isn't restricted to Christian traditional faith. So it includes Modi, Xi, MbS and a host of other totalitarian autocrats.

Who runs the International Democratic Union? Stephen Harper. Lifelong evangelical Christian and Dominionist.

I really don't care if people think I'm crazy. I'm trying once again to communicate the absolute treachery of this group of people. They are dangerous and currently trying to worsen the COVid-19 devastation.
