I just watched this hour long interview with John Ioannidis and his picture of where we are is strikingly different from the prevailing view. He compares COVID19 to seasonal flu and endorses reopening soon to avert harms of closure.
He is very measured, not casting blame, but he does effectively say that our current posture is too strict and we are likely to cause more harm than good. Chalks up mortality in NYC to nosocomial infection. It would be great if he is right! Any luminaries with threads on this?
