A senator from my district called me today to see if I needed anything for my people, did I need any help? I thanked her and told her we are fine and have everything we need but I wanted her to hear me and understand me.....

I told her about our struggles with procurement of ppe and how much gouging we are having to put up with to do our work properly. I told her that out of my 300+ staff only 10 had been tested.

I explained to her that I report on all five of my facilities everyday by 10 per protocol to the Agency for Healthcare Administration only to be called two hours later to answer the same questions from the Health Department.

Those health department workers are calling me from their home offices. That’s right, I’ll repeat that senator Berman...they are working from home. The. Health. Department.

I asked if she really wanted to help us, could she find out why the health department is working from home? Could she find out why they are not all out in the field testing healthcare workers to keep my patients safe?
