Has anyone heard of the first degree murder case against Adnan Syed? I think he’s innocent. Let’s discuss.......
He was convicted of 1st degree murder in 1999 of his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee. Cause of death was strangulation. This was in Baltimore btw. She was murdered January 13th 1999.
Let’s talk about the case now. Apparently the Baltimore Police Station received an anon call that the investigators should focus on Lee& #39;s ex-boyfriend and classmate, Adnan Syed.
So this is where it gets interesting....1. Physical evidence collected in 1999 was not tested for DNA during the initial trial process....despite that being the most crucial “evidence” they’d have against him.
Despite basically EVERYONE he knew talking highly of him& saying he was incapable of doing this. he also had no problem telling the police the last time he seen Hae (3:30pm basically end of his school day). Syed was arrested on February 28, 1999, and charged w first-degree murder
They started to interview people closest to him. Jay Wilds (his bestfriend) comes into play here. Literally everyone they interviewed said that Jay was the shady creepy guy in highschool. No one had anything bad to say about Adnan.
Jay Wilds was the State& #39;s main witness at trial. He had Syed& #39;s cell phone on the day of the murder. Which is weird af...? He at first l denied knowing anything of the crime. He eventually told police that Syed had shown him Lee& #39;s body in the parking lot of a Best Buy...
and that he and Syed buried the body in Leakin Park at around 7pm that evening. Basically Jays testimony was messy as FUCKKK! he was nervous the entire time. I mean that doesn’t make him guilty but he def not innocent. Anyway...
The police (even the lady that made the documentary). Felt like all the information at hand basically pointed to the cops forcing this testimony out of Jay.
Typical shit for people of color to go thru with the cops. Jay changed the time of the burial, saying that it happened after midnight....multiple times. But also he knew hey VIVID details of the murder. Again could be the police forcing him to say this shit bc..
In 2019 , Jay said that his statement about seeing the body at Best Buy came from the police. So who’s to say all of it wasn’t from the police.
Adnan Syed still claimed his innocence and his story remained the same since 1999. Jays was always a shaky story. That was overly detailed as if someone had been feeding him information again (probably the police)....
another shady thing is that a student, who said she saw Adnan in the library on the afternoon of Hae’s disappearance, was not called to the stand.....hmmm super odd he had an alibi that was proven too like he said....

Back to the cell phone thing. One of the evidence proven “against him” was the location of a call made to someone which matched the spot of the murder....JAY HAD HIS PHONE....makes no sense.
They just recently tested the DNA that was supposed to prove him guilty...guess what? He literally had not one piece of his DNA in Hae’s car (where the fuck the murder happened) and even on her neck...where she was strangled supposedly by Adnan...¿¿¿¿

There was some finger prints found on her car didn’t match Adnans or Jays but.....ever since this like I said Adnan Syed been claiming his innocence. Re appealed his case multiple times since 2004.
Especially after the documentary about the case.......the courts keep denying to try his case again.
One more very important thing to think of was the fact that Jay had a extremely violent life after and before this whole thing. He beat a women infront of her own son in her car. He had multiple incidents with the cops and cases involving heavy guns and weapons.
Also .....Adnan basically dated a girl Jay was super into , now I’m not saying Jays crazy ass had a motive to kill Hae and blame Adnan but that’s EXACTLY what I’m sayin...

No doubt in my mind that Adnan DID NOT do it. He’s innocent but y’all be the judge. This countries system is so fucked up.....I hope he gets the justice he deserves. He’s been in jail for 21 years now....
Absolutely no evidence against him besides hear say and a kid who’s story didn’t add up multiple times.
