My son and I will be growing a gargantuan pumpkin this year.

We grew an 100-pounder a few years ago and named him Gourdzilla.

I’m aiming for 200 pounds this year.

This was Gourdzilla. I loved that pumpkin.

Sadly, I made a grave error and accidentally cracked his stem in August. He was adding 3-5 inches of circumference A DAY.

Never more did he grow.

Topped out at 100 pounds... Oh, what could have been.
