The new Green Bay City Council was just sworn in...on Zoom. I imagine that’s a first.
The council is so far deadlocked in voting for their new president. The choices are Barb Dorff and Jesse Brunette.

Vander Leest suggested a coin toss, but most council members shot down that idea.
They’ve done a few rounds of voting and still haven’t broken the tie. @MayorGenrich can do so, but he wants to avoid that.

They’re also now emailing votes to the clerk because they moved to a secret ballot. Technology!
Support is growing for a coin toss, but it’s still a no go. For now.
Well. They’re flipping a coin.
Brunette won the coin toss, making him the new City Council president.

To recap: The council picked its new president with a coin toss on Zoom. Welcome to 2020, everyone.
