Okay first off, let me just explain something. Falling off a horse is not that scary. In fact, most of the falls I’ve had didn’t even leave a scratch or a sore muscle. Most of the time, I just, hopped back on—and kept riding like normal!
I think since I started riding at a young age, and had my first fall by the time I was 8, and also was taught how to fall—basically want to roll, disperse the impact—and thanks to safety gear, I got over the fear of it when I realized it wasn’t that bad—generally.
Why did I fall off so much? Well! Throughout my teenage years I was riding maybe 3-5 horses a day, sometimes green horses, and at shows I’d be hopping on horses I’d never ridden. All of that just adds up to: HEY YOURE GONNA FALL AT SOMEPOINT.
Why? A spook, a miscommunication, or an accident.& the more you ride—and more different horses you ride—higher risks of all of that happening.
So! With that said, I do have some “Bad Falls” like any rider does. And I have stories to go with it
so! That’s what this thread will be about. Idk if this is particularly interesting, but, hey! Y’all voted for it
