You've probably seen this piece of propaganda -- oops, I mean, political cartoon -- floating around.

This is nothing more than the 2-D fever dream, or outright gaslighting. Either way, it presents and spreads, a worldview that in simply doesn't reflect reality.

Let's examine:
"It's a hoax." This is has been repeated ad nauseam by the media, Democrats, blue checkmarks, celebs, anti-Trump Republicans, etc.

The idea that Trump has ever stated the virus itself is a hoax is simply false. He was referring to the Dems' fear-mongering....
Even Snopes admitted as much (despite their attempts to spin this into a confusing issue).

FYI: Snopes is no friend to Trump.
We don't need the pandemic response team

Not a quote, and not even an actual idea. Literally no one thought this. The NSC consolidated 3 previous directorates to avoid redundancies. This is called: Efficiency.
Former Adviser to President Trump on Russia and Europe on the White House National Security Council, Tim Morrison, took to the pages of WaPo to explain this in plain English.

Bottom line: The NSC was bloated, and the consolidation allowed experts to exchange ideas quicker.
States should bid on ventilators

Correct! They should. The existing protocols required the states to go through the federal government when bidding on PPE and ventilators. This administration empowered the states to avoid this unnecessary step. Again: Efficiency.
But don't believe me. Here's the man himself, making this quite clear: https://twitter.com/DailyCaller/status/1239639459093712896?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1239639459093712896&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2020%2F03%2F16%2Fwuhan-virus-hackery-media-shares-trumps-ventilator-directions-out-of-context%2F
COVID-19 is "a little like the regular flu".

This is of course true. It is "A LITTLE like the regular flu".

They are both infections respiratory diseases. They are also viruses, which means the are treated by antivirals or vaccines. This will be important in the next tweet.
Trump: "But that's a little bit like the flu. It's a little like the regular flu that we have flu shots for. And we'll essentially have a flu shot for this in a fairly quick manner."

Vaccines are currently being tested. This could be one of the fastest vaccines ever produced.
"Nobody could have known"

Yes, there have been doomsday predictions of a pandemic predicted in the past, but nobody could have know THIS would happen. This virus is unique in many respects. The transmission-capability prior to showing symptoms is notably problematic.
We don't need the World Health Organization's testing kits

Well... funny thing about that... we were NEVER OFFERED W.H.O. tests. They focused on countries that don't have the resources we do.
Again, Snopes (despite an incessant need to spin things into supposedly-neutral territory) debunks this.

Sidenote: You may have noticed by now that many of these headstones have statements that are meant to feel like quotes, but are nothing short of hallucinations.
"We've done a great job."

This is an actual quote, and is correct. We are testing more people than any other country, we have flattened the curve and strategic travel bans saved thousands of lives...
BTW, The Who (Wuhan Health Organization) had advised AGAINST travel bans, and continued to do so AT LEAST a month after Trump banned travel from China.

This would've resulted in another ~250,000 people coming in from China in February alone, if Trump listened to those "experts".
"This American carnage stops here and now"

This is from Trump's inauguration speech, long before any such threat existed. Between then and now, he's destroyed ISIS, built the greatest economy the world's ever known and managed to avoid multiple massive military conflicts.
State should figure this out.

YES!!! It's called Federalism. It's a founding principle of our nation. BTW, when Trump (incorrectly) said his power is "total"....the media freaked. So do they want him to be a tyrant or not? #AllAboutTheNarrativeOfTheDay
"Anyone who wants a test can get a test"

This is the one little nugget of truth in this whole drawing.

This one is an actual quote, and it's false.

That said, the experts didn't call for mass testing early on, and many of the initial tests were faulty which caused setbacks.
But wait...he went to the private sector, who figured it out and now offers 5-minute swab tests instead of the tickle-your-brain-stem tests that take hours? Of course he did!

Don't need to use the Defense Production Act

This has largely been true. Trump mostly has worked WITH our private sector, instead of FORCING them to comply. He did, however, enact the DPA for the production of the aforementioned swab tests. #NarrativeShattered
"Some people can go to work"

Ummmm...TRUE! Obviously! If you've ordered DoorDash in the last month, you know that.

Shoutout to the medical pros, the truckers, the restaurant workers, the pet store employees, etc. Y'all are Making America Great Again....AGAIN!!
