i would appreciate if my community (the lgbt community) would get better rep. your show hasn’t done bad with it, but it isn’t GOOD. you have a stereotypical feminine gay man, a bisexual polyam hillbilly who lives in a trailer park and harasses people Often,

the main and canonical wlw character sometimes gets written in a slightly predatory way, your gay mc has spent the entire show suffering without his fiancé. ron, dwayne, and katie don’t really have anything bad going for them, but i’m including them for later points.

two out of the seven of your Present lgbt characters are purely for comedy value. which! it’s a comedy podcast. there’s gonna be characters who are simply for comedy value. it’s just a little annoying when it’s the ones who are the poorest rep being used as comedy relief.

especially as someone who is bisexual, polyamorous and has spent years living in trailer parks. but Anyway.
four out of the seven are all alone! and sometimes it’s nice to have lgbt characters who are just by themselves and not centered around Being part of a couple. but when

a majority of your lgbt characters are alone? that’s annoying. we get that in a lot of stories already, with people just trying to use us as brownie points.
then the ones who Are in relationships, those barely ever get featured! katie’s been around about.. a couple times. kirk

was mentioned twice, i think. that’s Shit rep. this could all easily be done better. i don’t care if this is your story and how you want it to be written, you’re profiting off of my community. listen to criticism and get better.

lgbt criticisms aside, y’all have a racist witch as comedy relief in the show. i understand as fully grown white men, you might find the character funny. it’s a common character trope in a lot of western comedies! the character says something racist, the other characters scold

them for something so awful and then the racist character goes on about their day as if nothing’s different. that’s not a good trope. it’s incredibly fucked up, as it shows that those who are racist can say what they want and go without consequences. the fact that you all

kept that character trope is disappointing.

moving away from the fiction now for a simple statement about how you all are handling stuff like this: you could do better! all of you. you can’t be a storyteller using minority groups that you aren’t a part of without taking criticism, whether it’s completely negative or it’s

constructive. the fact that you’re blowing off and/or blocking everyone who does, because it’s “your show”, is wrong and if you keep it up, it’s going to come and bite you in the ass sooner or later.

you owe it to us to take our criticism into consideration. so do it.

also if someone asks you to tag nsfw work, don’t be a dick. some people don’t want to see it and people can’t control whether they see it or not if you don’t tag it.
