I can’t help wondering why the WHOLE population including low risk groups must go into lockdown. Can anyone explain this? Why not isolate critical groups (eg elderly, thise w/ existing diseases)& allow the rest of society to get moving again? What am I missing here?

I can’t help wondering why the WHOLE population including low risk groups must go into lockdown.

@NAChristakis any thoughts on this? It seems like an obvious alternative to isolate high risk groups & let low risk groups get on with their lives. Is there something I’m missing?
