A few things:

1) A film isn't inherently sexist just because it happens to focus on male characters. And lots of women love #ThereWillBeBlood.
2) It's fine to dislike a piece of art that a lot of people love and write about it! I often appreciate when someone takes a controversial stance. But I do think that feminist film criticism should be grounded in analysis of the film itself.
3) There are lots of really tremendous and thoughtful pieces of feminist film criticism that delve deeply into sexism both on and offscreen.
4) I worry that when pieces like the #ThereWillBeBlood one make the rounds, some folks start to discount the value of a feminist lens. And there are so many wonderful and nuanced pieces of feminist film criticism out there!
5) Female film critics don't all agree with each other. We have diverse opinions!
