You wrote a whole thread not really saying much, so I decided to make a more in-depth thread on women's rights in Islam.

First and foremost, yes, there's a chapter in the Qur'an called "The Women" (Surah An-Nisa). It says you can beat your wives, so I wouldn't really flaunt it. https://twitter.com/theHaalaG/status/1252452413157638149
Qur'an 4:34 is pretty clear on the issue of beating, although a lot of Muslims like to claim that وَٱضْرِبُوهُنَّ doesn't mean "and beat them", but it does, and we can see it in other examples throughout the Qur'an (8:12, 2:73), including the instance in which prophet Job beat
his wife (38:44, look at Tafsir). But, I won't delve in etymology. Here are Islamic scriptures explaining themselves:
(1) Tafsir Ibn Kathir, which includes in its commentary a lot of (ahadeeth) narrations as well.
(2) Tabari, vol.9., which records the last sermon of Muhammad, in
which he refers to women as animals and tells the husbands it's okay to beat them. To clear any confusion, a saheeh (authentic) hadith confirms it (1), and another hadith (also graded as saheeh, but by Al-Albani) claims Muhammad permitted the husbands to beat their wives (2).
This "beating" should not be "severe" (see Muslim 1218a, which is too big to be screenshotted an shared: http://sunnah.com/muslim/15/159 ) and Muhammad Al-Munajjid's article in which he explains in general how women can be beaten, why, and how: https://bit.ly/2yu5spZ

A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law":
Furthermore, it is not permissible for a woman to seek leadership positions.
(1) Tafsir Ibn Kathir here comments on the first portion of 3:34.
(2) Here we see the ruling on appointing women to positions of high public office.
Muhammad Saed Abdul-Rahman cites Baghawi's reasons for this:
- they are not allowed to leave their homes except by the permission of a husband because of their awrah
- women are weak and imperfect, and leadership positions belong to perfect men

Umm Adillah in her book "My Advice to the Women" explains what awrah means and how it's applied:
This explains a lot, considering how Muslim women were mostly unknown throughout history and not many of them managed to attain fame or publicity through their great achievements. Unlike the Muslim world, Europe has had its fair share of great queens, princesses, scholars and
female saints from all paths of life, who were known to the general public. In these screenshots (taken from the book "Myth of the Andalusian Paradise"), we see the sharp contrast between women in Islamic and Catholic Spain.
Here are a number of ahadeeth mentioning how Muhammad said that, were he ever to order anyone to prostrate to someone, it would be to woman to prostrate to her husband.
(1) Here we see Aisha claiming the believing women suffer the most.
(2) Here she mocks Muhammad for equating women to dogs and donkeys.
Ibn Taymiyyah described marriage as slavery for the woman (1). This is a proper and just description, as a woman:
- is cursed by the angels if she refuses intimacy (2)
- lacks the full benefit of prayer if she sleeps while her husband is mad at her (3)
- cannot fast without her husband's permission (1)
- won't go to heaven is her husband is not happy with her (2)
- is forbidden paradise if she asks him for divorce without a good reason, although men can divorce their wives without such consequences (3)
So, we have established that divorce rights within Islam are not the same. Neither can she marry without the permission of a wali (a male guardian), otherwise her marriage is invalid (1). She cannot even travel without a mahram (a male relative) (2).
Minor girls can be married off islamically, because Islam doesn't stipulate a particular age of marriage for the man or woman (1). Muhammad married Aisha when she was six, and consummated the marriage when she was nine (2). Female genital mutilation is allowed in Islam (3).

Furthermore, women cannot pray in front of men nor next to men, only behind men. They cannot pray or read the Quran when menstruating because they're not considered pure. Regarding this (and everything
previously mentioned), there's a peculiar hadith in which Muhammad claims women are "deficient in intelligence and religion. His reasoning is simple:
In Tabari, vol.1, it is noted that all women are stupid because of Eve (1). They form the majority in hell because they are ungrateful to their husbands (2), and in them is an evil omen (3). They advance and retire in the shape of a devil (4).
The Quran describes women as "a place of sowing of seed" (2:223). It also limits her inheritance to half that of her brother's (4:11). Her testimony is only worth half of any male's (2:282), albeit in practice this isn't always the case.
Another difference between men and women in Islam is the fact that men are allowed to marry up to four women, while women can only marry one man. They are also not allowed to marry a non-Muslim, while a man can marry a Muslim, Jewish or Christian woman. However, this doesn't
need much proving because it's already well-known throughout the world. The thing that not many people know, however, is the meaning of nikah. The word that is often translated as "Islamic marriage" literally means "sexual intercourse" (which is also one of the reasons men pay
dowry (mahr), they're literally buying sex (or a woman)). The purpose of mahr is to have sexual relations with a woman.

In the end, I just want to add that everything I have mentioned is applicable to Muslim, i.e. "the free" women. As for non-Muslim women in an Islamic society,
they are not considered "free" and have even fewer rights. Islamically, something such as owning sex captives is completely permissible for Muslim men. Thankfully, this usually isn't practiced because of international law! And that's a different topic.
