From a pathology standpoint, it is ‘virtually impossible’ for a coronavirus derived from bats and mice to “mutate” and give itself the ability to attach to ACE-2 receptors found in human bronchial cells.

This capability can only be achieved through gain of function experiments.

This is why the US government has launched an official investigation into the origins of the virus.

Chinese researchers have stated they believe the virus was derived in a lab, as the pathology of the virus does not occur through organic mutation or naturally in nature.

The origins are still speculative at this point, however when the US government concludes its investigation, we will have a better understanding then.
