No mention of PPE, workplace safety standards on reopening, and no response at all on presumption for front line workers who contract disease (we have lots of ideas on the table) 2/6
Not only didn’t address concerns of immigrant community, endorsed Trump scapegoating immigrants of all different status in shutting down immigration system. No attempt to even address rising anti-Asian racism (He’s only trying to help) 3/6
Says he is on same page with Patrick comments. Both willing to risk lives of workers & communities of color for ideological agenda & corporate sponsors. Acts more afraid of right wing “protect my right to infect” crowd, lobbyists and corporate backers than he is of the virus. 4/6
Here is what a back to work plan should look like: 1) Workers have a say in decisions at every level; 2) Decisions need to be based on worker safety and science; 3) Strong, enforceable workplace safety standards must be in place; 5/6
