ALL, I repeat, ALL UK Universities went online within 2 weeks of Uni closure by the UK government. The fact that we cannot do this in Nigeria after 4 weeks and will not in 10 weeks is a testament of the rot in the education sector. Shall I remind you that Lecturers are on strike?

Today, I spoke to about 5 students for almost an hour via Skype, phone and replied several emails from students on a final year module I lead.

If you are going to tell me we have made significant progress since 2015, please have your facts. Let’s not embarrass ourselves please.

If most private Universities in Nigeria can get it right, why is it so difficult for most state and federal government Universities? Why are Universities created in 1999 and 2004 more innovative and progressive than Universities created in 1960 and 1980? Inertia? Lack of funding?
