the feeling of the butterflies every time he saw crimson eyes crinkle into a smile made him feel weightless and free. the blush in his cheeks burned his skin but like a burst of heat would refresh you in the winter chill.
everything about eijirou used to make katsuki feel wonderful. his laugh and smile made his stomach flip so hard his feet felt like they were leaving the ground. his touch made his skin freeze over and paint with goosebumps. his compliments and words made his ears burn and buzz.
but now every time he looked at the hopelessly straight boy, he felt nothing more than a pit in his stomach, a weight on his feet, and a weed in his chest.
petals used to bloom in katsuki’s lungs when eijirou flashed him a bright grin.

now knowing of the boys unreciprocated feelings, the stems grow higher and higher through his body.
the petals reach his throat and the butterflies in his stomach become a sharp stab to his chest as he coughs up his hopeless romance.

being katsuki bakugou is hard enough. he just had to go and fall for the gayest acting straight boy to walk the planet.
(this was different than anything i’ve written before and i’d appreciate qrts
i’m trying to get better at descriptions and hanahaki was my first thought at experimenting. unrequited crushes because of sexuality is something i’ve dealt with a lot so maybe this also is a vent?)
