I& #39;ve been thinking about this too: historically no "significant policy change that has passed in the face of determined opposition by corporate America" but "today there is no appetite for sweeping reforms like Medicare 4 All or the Green New Deal among the American ruling class"
"If these policies are to be enacted, it will be because a working-class insurgency has convinced at least some sectors of capital that they are worthwhile compromises." https://jacobinmag.com/2020/04/bernie-sanders-campaign-strategy-democratic-party-biden-trump">https://jacobinmag.com/2020/04/b...
How realistic is it to hope for both those things (working class insurgency and adroit corporate liberal cooptation) actually happening? It doesn& #39;t make me feel good about our future.
