I've been thinking about this too: historically no "significant policy change that has passed in the face of determined opposition by corporate America" but "today there is no appetite for sweeping reforms like Medicare 4 All or the Green New Deal among the American ruling class"
How realistic is it to hope for both those things (working class insurgency and adroit corporate liberal cooptation) actually happening? It doesn't make me feel good about our future.
