I’m seeing a lot of job market takes that include helping students look for #nonac or #altac careers and as a former TT faculty member and now a team lead in data analytics I have a few suggestions. 1/

First, you should be encouraging your students to pursue this option if it’s what’s best for them, but not just in an economic crisis! You don’t have to be an expert but you should know basic resources. 2/

Lots of us talk about our experience but also @BeyondProf @nataliemj10 @drmarenw have tons of resources or tweet frequently about the transition. Ask us for help if you don’t know where to send your students. 3/
