Hearing of increasing numbers of very unpleasant Zoom bombing going on, two incidents I know of this evening. Please make sure that you do not allow screen sharing/annotation/private chat during public meetings, add a password, and ideally require registration in advance.
Can also lock the meeting after everyone is in & make use of the waiting room (although this doesn& #39;t help if you don& #39;t know who is going to be joining). Also suggest disallowing renaming and virtual backgrounds. There are loads of guides out there on preventing Zoom bombing tho.
A reminder of my more detailed guide to running very locked down public events https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KzIrqLsEhVJBM57dVC0fqOVDEazY24kNJcQutXFz4Is/edit?usp=sharing">https://docs.google.com/document/...
Please do share information about Zoom bombing with people you know are using it for public meetings as awareness is still apparently not that high.
