Here& #39;s what I don& #39;t understand & if someone can explain it to me I& #39;ll happily listen. Let& #39;s use me and say the fella across the road as examples. Let& #39;s call him Steve. I have always worked, always paid tax. So has Steve. Let& #39;s imagine (just to make the maths easy) we both
take home £1000 a month and just for arguments sake let& #39;s say I have a small amount of savings, towards a holiday. So does Steve. At the beginning of March I had an interview for a new job and was offered the job. Steve didn& #39;t. He chose to stay in the same job. On 22/3
I left my old job and looked forward to starting my new job on 30/3. Steve carried on going to work as normal. On 23/3 Boris told us not to go to work anymore. Steve& #39;s employers put him on furlough. Steve is receiving 80% of his wages, £800. I couldn& #39;t be furloughed because
of the enormous flaws in the JRS. I& #39;ve been advised to claim UC but here& #39;s the thing - Universal credit awards depend on whether you have any savings. Steve& #39;s furlough pay doesn& #39;t. (btw I don& #39;t know if I& #39;ll get UC yet because it takes a month to find out). If my claim
is sucessful I may get £400 a month, that& #39;s half of what Steve is getting. Steve thinks if I don& #39;t any UC at all it will be because I have savings and I should use those to live off. Why Steve? Why are you and I being treated differently? The only difference in our
circumstances is that I got a new job. Help me out people, explain to me how this is fair #newstarterjustice @RishiSunak @AnnelieseDodds @toryboypierce @tom_belger @MartinSLewis @piersmorgan @JeremyVineOn5
