We are celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the ADA and today @APforStudents announced they have no real plan for students who need new or modified accommodations due to change in format, said students with scribed and readers are expected to provide their own at home 1/

There is no, not one paper/pencil accommodation which is a standard accommodation for online exams 2/

They released this information 19 days out from the exam so you can’t do anything but it’s not like @AP_Trevor or @CollegeBoard or @APforStudents cares because they changed the format of the exam but have no plans to let students who need new accommodations to apply

This is digusting and just proves @APforStudents NEVER INTENDED to create a plan for accommodations suited to students with accommodations. They just want people to buy their exam and protect their bottom line

Despite asking for captions on @APforStudents videos- their official prep videos- they’ve ignored that request. They can’t even do the basics

They have no regard for students with accommodations at all and have not prioritized them. This is a violation of ada and as a lawyer, if you know someone not being accomodated have them contact me and I’ll find someone in their jurisdiction

Here’s a simple question for @APforStudents - if I’m a student with accommodations of scribed or reader and I don’t have someone who can scribe or read, how will you accomodate me... because it’s the law you do

You don’t get to shift the burden to students to accommodate themselves under ADA, you have to provide. So @AP_Trevor and @APforStudents you got answers or do@you need me to go back to my @UVALaw roots to get them.
