I live in CA and my family lives in GA. I spent most of my life in one home in GA. It’s the only place I consciously remember living as a child.
My parents are moving to FL. Their house is in the process of being sold w/ a closing date of 5/8. Meaning my childhood home is gone on 5/8.
I haven’t been able to help them prepare, go through my belongings, etc. since I live in CA.
I’m currently working remotely in CA. No return to office date has been set.
So... I could fly to GA and continue to work remotely as I have been. This would give me the chance to go through my stuff, say goodbye to my childhood home, and see my family.

But it’s a terrifying time to travel and it may not be safe.
What should I do? Stay in CA to ensure safety or accept the risks and travel to GA to say goodbye to my childhood home?
