Right, time to whet your appetite with some of the fab new #housing data from the #LondonsPovertyProfile.
1) #affordability. There is no #London borough where a *one-bed* flat costs below the benchmark of 30% of median gross income. #NotAffordable.
https://www.trustforlondon.org.uk/data/topics/housing/
2) #RoughSleeping There has been a big rise in all groups rough sleeping in #London. This was a problem that was massively smaller. And then it wasn't any more. https://www.trustforlondon.org.uk/data/topics/housing/
3) #HiddenHomeless There are 6 times as many #London households in #TemporaryAccommodation as #RoughSleepers. While they might have a roof over their head, it's not #home. ( #COVID19 is also showing us how unsafe some of this accommodation is). #LondonsPovertyProfile
4) I say the data's fab. It is incredibly useful. But it also shows how big the challenge we faced was, even before the current crisis. So let's use it, tell stories, set a benchmark. But let's also believe we can - and must - do much better. https://www.trustforlondon.org.uk/data/topics/housing/
