Thread.. It’s #NationalLibraryWeek! Library staff thought we’d have a little fun by hosting a virtual #ediblebook fest: Make something you can eat shaped or inspired by a book, literary character, etc!...
First up, some piggy cupcakes inspired by HAMlet...get it! 🐷 This is from Debbie Brezovar, Info Commons/Acquisitions Coordinator.
Focusing on children’s lit, Rachel Aten - Library Business Manager - did “The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!” 🌭
Meghan Dowell, Teaching & Learning Librarian, took a dark novel & played with sweet potatoes: The Silence of the Yams (yep, from Silence of the Lambs). Love it!
Joe Hardenbrook, Director of Library Services, did a pun on a classic American book: Here’s the Crepes of Wrath based on “The Grapes of Wrath.”
Hungry for gingerbread? Here’s Denise Friestedt’s (Circulation Manager) gingerbread man!
Alex Gruentzel, Library Evening/Weekend Supervisor, has two creations: here’s an “Under the Tuscan Sun” cake. Beautiful! ☀️
...and she also did a pun on “The Catcher in the Rye” with the Ketchup in the Rye!
We hope you enjoyed our #ediblebooks, #carrollu! We hope to be back to doing this in person next year with all of you!
