I see so many people asking why White House journalists don't behave how they'd like. They want reporters either screaming at the president, walking out on him, or if they're on the other side of the spectrum, praising him. That's the role of an activist, not a reporter
It's the job of White House reporters to show you how the White House is handling a given issue or discussing it. If you think that merits support or protest, it's actually on you, the people, to respond, not us.
And by the way, if your willingness to engage in activism solely extends to tweeting at others asking them to do it for you, perhaps that has something to do with why you're not seeing the results you'd like in the discourse.
I think part of the issue here is folks who want to have a blanket discussion of "the media" when it's far more complex. It's utterly not fair to say people in there aren't doing follow ups or fact checks even if you have seen moments you didn't like.
It's also silly to pretend there aren't large parts of the public calling for activist press walkouts or media obedience to the president.
