My other thought is that ag groups, in the 8 years of the Obama administration, were NEVER afraid to go on the offensive whenever the administration did something they disagreed with, we could count on statements being issued within HOURS.
The blame for any/all actions was laid squarely at the president's door. Obama's EPA, Obama's USDA, Obama's BLM, etc. Now? Rarely is the blame laid at this president's feet. I cannot start to IMAGINE the fury if an Obama COVID aid package had shorted livestock, left out ethanol.
The livestock producer groups, the ethanol associations would have DEMANDED that funding be brought up to par. It's not just "an Obama thing" either. The same goes for the GW Bush administration too. Ag was never afraid to speak up during the Bush and Obama years.
