To my fellow scrupulous Catholics, you are not un-Catholic for...

Not having a devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Not going to Franciscan U
Not praying a daily Rosary
Not going to Latin Mass
Not wearing a scapular
Not loving praise/worship
Voluntary (non-binding) devotions/commitments are good and pleasing to God, but they're just that: voluntary. Certain seasons of life may be more strained such that it may or may not be healthy/fitting to do X private devotion. One size does not fit all and you can say no.
I'm thinking in particular about "memento mori"—so much posting about it made me feel compelled to start loving skulls. Same thing with prayer altars at home, do I *need* to have one? No, and you and I shouldn't have anxiety about it.
Our faith is abundant with wonderful chaplets and novenas, and many (the Rosary especially) have brought about incredible graces. Do them. If you feel uneasy about it, though, it is ok to discern and end up saying no. You don't have to attend daily Mass if you're in a deep depres
N.B. This does not mean faith is relative or that God doesn't desire and even demand certain behavior; this is a slippery slope only if taken unilaterally. You still have to go to Mass on Sundays and fast on certain days. Personal devotion will vary from person to person though.
This may have been poorly phrased and I may have erred. I mean this in a specific sense and I merely want to allay some of the unnecessary anxieties I think Catholics in particular feel. For a better explanation, check this out:
