The Korean war wiped out 30% of their population and they have struggled against famine and sanctions over the years, mostly receiving support from China and the USSR (which collapsed and affecting them massively) whilst remaining an isolated country in the Global South.

The West has manufactured consent to oppress this nation by demonising them in the media and fabricating complete lies, including paying "defectors" to speak about their mistreatment by the N. Korean government, and continually vilifying communism.

A country subject to this level of imperialist aggression should not be the butt of any jokes- especially from those of us living in the imperial core.
