So I know some of y’all will laugh, some may even call me stupid and pretty ridicule for the thread I am about to make (it’s all good).

A week or so ago I tweeted about “my boy” who was being linked up to a job opportunity by a “friend” who attached a condition to the link. The condition was upon getting the job “my boy” had to pay a cut to the friend. Well, “my boy” is ME.

Anyway, so I made the call to find out what the story was with the job and stuff. And was asked to send in my resume (like all the other time) and I did. So a couple of days later I get a call asking if I had sent the resume to which I replied I did.

I guess desperation of being unemployed had me try & make a follow up on that together with what my friend & other trusted friends had adviced. Upon making the call I was told I had to pay 5usd/equivalent (plus add ons)“REGISTRATION”.

All this my friend had not mentioned to me when we spoke. So now because I trusted the person who had given me the link I agreed to pay which was stupid of coz but desperation will make you do anything and everything to try and get yourself out of a bad place.

But anyway that’s not the point. So since then, nothing really has happened and I realize I have been scammed. Here is where it gets super funny, I go back to my friend and tell them what happened...

and they are like,”tell me you didn’t pay. they did the same thing to me so I wanted to see if they would do it to you.” I don’t know how to react or what to make of this but one thing is for sure am very heated about it.

I have a lot of things going through my head rn. It’s only 5 bucks I know but who does that though. More than anything am disappointed in myself for a lot of reasons.

Unemployment has driven me to a point of being this desperate that I am willing to make crazy sacrifices. For me to be taken advantage like that is just sad. It was a bad deal to begin with:
1. I pay the 5 bucks
2. Pay the cut to my friend for God knows how long.

3. But anyway it is what it is. The point of this thread is to bring awareness to other people who may be in a similar situation as mine. I know times are tough and you probably are getting impatient as to when your turn will come causing to be desperate.
