Hard work doesn’t equal results.
Working hard means putting in the time, staying late. Doing what the boss tells you to.
You could work hard on your goals for years and end up running in circles.

Hard work must be consistent is the first rule here.
Hard work on things that you never follow through on is nearly pointless.
If you feel like you’re not making progress on something...
You’re either inconsistent, lazy, or you don’t have all the knowledge you need.

Successful people work hard, this is true most of the time.
But a lot of successful people aren’t working hard right now because they’ve built something that only required hard work up front.
The point is, don’t think you have to outwork other people to get what you want.

Ex. Let’s say you’re trying to jump higher in basketball with the goal of being able to dunk by the end of the month.
You go to the gym everyday for 30 days, work hard mainly by getting a lot of jumps in. You get at least 10 reps a day for 30 days.

By the end of these 30 days, I bet you will see some improvement because of your hard work.
There is also a good chance that you won’t get the results you were looking for because you didn’t train effectively or efficiently.
If you changed your daily routine though you might.

If you changed your daily routine though you might.
Let’s say that at the end of your 30 days of training, you were able to jump 2 inches higher.
If you had trained more effectively by strengthening your quad muscles, calf muscles, abs and more.
You would have gotten better results.
If you had trained more effectively by strengthening your quad muscles, calf muscles, abs and more.
You would have gotten better results.
At the end of the 30 days of training your specific muscles needed for success.
You were able to jump 4-6 inches higher and dunk.
You spent the same amount of time training, 20 minutes a day but you were focused on training more efficiently.

This might not be the best example, but there are lots of different situations you can apply this to.
If you lack the results you wanted at the end of 30 days...
You need to assess if you’re training the right muscles, learning from a credible source, working hard effectively

If things are still not right, you might need a new teacher with proven results.
You’ll need to decide if you’re making progress.
Switch to something you’re better at, or change up your strategy to get the results you’re looking for.

Not all the answers will be given to you, some things you will have to figure out on your own.
You need to hold yourself accountable with a time limit though,
So after 30 days if you aren’t where you wanted to be. Change things, fix things, tweak things until you get it right.

Successful people don’t quit, but they are also able to admit when they aren’t good at something.
If you’re terrible at web design, don’t try to create your own site.
If don’t have a good vertical, and you’re under 6 feet tall...

Then basketball might not be right for you. Lol
But don’t let me tell you this, just find this out for yourself.
Working hard effectively and consistently, at something you’re really good at, will lead to success.
Anything else, might just be a lesson or a skill you learned.
