Of 368 male veterans hospitalized with #coronavirus infection at VA hospitals who died or were discharged by 4/11:

~28% given #hydroxychloroquine died vs. 11% of those getting routine care.

#hydroxychloroquine made NO difference in the need for a ventilator.

Researchers did not track side effects, but "noted hints that #hydroxychloroquine might have damaged other organs." The drug is known to have potentially FATAL side effects, including altering the heartbeat in a way that could lead to sudden cardiac death.

I've been very skeptical of #hydroxychloroquine (based on its mechanism)...no surprise, yet another study is NEGATIVE, showing NO BENEFIT.

Yet #hydroxychloroquine is KNOWN to cause potentially FATAL side effects.
