Thinking about the strength of the middle grades teaming model today... being part of a team of dedicated educators all working in service of the same group of students/families is proving incredibly powerful/helpful at this time.
We've always taken time during our meetings to check in about student concerns. That continues to be front and center now.

Being able to say, "have you heard from..." and identify patterns across a student's day feels really helpful.
Also, checking in about what is being assigned (to ensure variety & that we're not over taxing our students) feels really helpful.

Finding ways to connect across disciplines, even in this setting.
Perhaps this exists at other grade levels, too (?).

Just feeling SO thankful for my teammates -- creating a net together & doing all we can to ensure a soft landing for each of our students.
I know I won't always be "it" for our students.

They might connect with Katelyn, David, Wynne, or Laura in ways they don't w/me. This allows us to leverage relationship to ensure ALL students have what they need.

As part of this team, I know that I don't have to "go it alone."
