Random Musings :

I would like to narrate a story from the Panchatantra, which I read in my childhood. Once upon a time in a forest, there was a wild bull. He had a well-built, daunting physical appearance, which even sent a chill down the spine of the carnivorous (1/n)
predators, from the lion to the alligator to the tiger. And he was like a guardian to other plant-eating forest community, because in his presence, they felt safe while grazing the grass in the hill slopes. But, there was a cunning, malevolent fox who fantasised a (2/n)
coup over the jungle & with the lion’s virtual surrender to the bull, he gave up his dream until one day, when he finally saw a glimmer of hope. The bull was feeling sick, and he had told his plant-eating comrades that for a few days, (3/n)
he would like to take rest near the riverbank, which had plenty of medicinal plants, so that his infection dips gradually. In the absence of the bull, the fox came to the meadows & mingled with the goats, rabbits, deers, blackbucks. With the prolonged absence of the bull, (4/n)
the fox filled the lacuna by projecting himself as the saviour and told the veggie junta that they must go to their elder brother, the bull & enquire about his health. So, the next day, all the herbivores paid a visit to the ailing bull near the riverbank, (5/n)
covering an arduous long journey from the meadows. Once, they reached there, they felt tired & they asked the bull, if they can eat some of the plants nearby, to which the bull obliged. So, the grass-eating community, who had come to enquire about the bull’s health,(6/n)
ended up eating all the medicinal plants on the bank, which was supposed to heal the bull. As the day came to an end, they bade him goodbye & went back to the meadows, leaving the bull hungry, all alone with no food at all. (7/n)
That night, the bull had a high fever, complicated by his lack of diet & at this juncture, the fox attacked him in his weakest moment & killed him. By conquering the strong bull, the fox sent a message across the periphery of the jungle & every creature, (8/n)
from the python to the Lion to the tiger to the deer, rabbit, sparrows and bluckbuck, accepted the fox as the new king, christening him the “bull slayer”. And with the bull’s elimination, the hunting of the herbivores multiplied day-by-day, for there was (9/n)
no bull to save them, with the fox cutting a deal with the lion and the hyenas that they can have a free pass to hunt down the herbivores. Why did I narrate this story ? Simple : 2014 was not won because some idiot wrote a few ripostes to the Barkhas, the (10/n)
Rajdeeps and the Pronoy Roys. 2014 was won, because they found the face who can finally say, ‘Enough is enough’ with a piercing look & correct the civilisational mistakes. Ram Janambhoomi is done, 370 is for the History books, and CAA pushed through, (11/n)
despite the kraken of international media backlash baying for him. Don’t let foxes connive u with sweet-talking and riling up ur emotions to desert the bull. Because once he is gone, the artful fox will get his research-associateship at Brookings Institution, (12/n)
and the esteemed members of the Civil Society, who have been pushed aside, will recover the lost ground. It happened with Vajpayee. Don’t let it happen with him.

Good night. [13/13]
