Happy to report that my brother, who hates to spend money (he is a teacher, they are all like that), has finally, after months of waiting for the prices to drop, and several failed negotiations, secured the deal to buy Days Gone for *drum roll* mublagh 3200 siqqa raij ul waqt.
Allow me to explain: when a ps4 title comes out fresh, it is prized at around 60$, which in Pakistan usually amounts to 7-8k. But gradually, the price goes down and a few months later second-hand games of the latest title sell for around 4-5k.
In the second and third year of the release, the price drops down to 3000 to 1000 min for older titles on olx and fb groups.

Now usually, he plays pirated pc versions of games off of torrents but Days Gone is a ps4 exclusive, released in 2019. He waited months for the price..
..to finally drop down in the second hand local market. His previous negotiations failed because the sellers were demanding 4500 and 4000. But by the looks of it, he had decided not to go past 3000 for a 2019 title. How we will forgive himself for the extra 200 he gave today,
, I do not know.

It is just amazing self-discipline in frugality; one that I have been eagerly observing over the past few months.

If you want something really bad, would you splurge for it and get it anyway? Or would you exercise self-control and wait until you think you
...are in a better position to get that material object? Quite the practical philosophical question of life. I am sure most of us would do the former if we love something material so bad we have to have it.

Fascinating business.
Now for the next month or so, he will be on the game day and night, until he gets the platinum to get max return for the bateees sou. It is all, we will see on our tv screen from now on.
