🚹 How Nicki Minaj bullied Miley Cyrus throughout the years ~ [A THREAD] ✹
I made this thread because I felt the need to show off the truth about this story that gets always misunderstood and distorted by the media and by those who prefer lying than accepting the facts. Let's spill the tea! ☕
In 2013 during an interview for a radio station, miley was asked if she was familiar with the "twerk team" (which nicki was part of) and after showing her love to nicki she praised her saying "that as* is pretty amazing".
Despite this, after miley's controversial performance at the VMAs, many artists were asked about their opinions during interviews. Nicki was interviewed by Ellen when she accused Miley of culture appropriation. "It's the white girl thing".
But the fact wasn't about race or skin, what really shocked was that image made by people in their minds during hannah montana that didn't match up anymore with the girl they saw on that stage. Nicki obviously changed the point of the topic,as you can see from Ellen confused face
In August 2014, Miley photoshopped her own face on Nicki's body on "Anaconda" cover. Nicki reposted the photo, commenting "Give me one good reason why Miley made this her twitter avi." Then Miley made another meme, as Hannah, which Minaj regrammed as well, with "No chill ZONE!!!"
Despite this, when nicki released "Anaconda" in August 2014, at the VMAs a few days later, Miley kept it cordial and kept supporting her by saying, “I can bring that body, I can bring that wrecking ball, but I can’t bring that a*s."
In 2015, after Nicki came to the VMAs stage to accept her award, she decided to call out miley publicly live on television, saying "this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press, miley what's good?" letting everyone shocked, including miley's family.
Nicki was referring to a magazine in which miley apparently attacked her first, saying "she's not too kind".
"We're all in this industry. We all do interviews and we know how they manipulate sh*t". As miley said to nicki, her words were misunderstood and taken out of context.
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

Miley gets asked by "The NY times" about Nicki and Taylor's feud, when nicki admitted being disappointed because "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for "Best Video of the Year" at VMAs. Here nicki wasn't referring to Taylor Swift as we found out then, but to miley
During this interview, miley didn't want to comment on that topic because she knew nothing about. But then, she found out from the interviewer that it was nicki who called out her first, saying "when a naked white girl breaks a vevo record she gets nominated" referring to WB video
Miley was accused of dissing Nicki by saying "She's not too kind" when actually it was Nicki who dissed her first. This is why Miley then added that wasn't the right way to express opinion, implying Nicki acted not too kind.
A month later, in an interview for "The NY Times", nicki addressed the miley situation once again, claiming miley didn't care about what bothers black women and what affects them. But Miley never said "I don't want to know what makes black women upset"
She said "If you want to make it about race, there’s a way you could do that. But don’t make it just about yourself. Say 'This is the reason why I think it’s important to be nominated. There’s girls everywhere with this body type' "
In June 2019, Nicki loses her mind on "Queen radio" by attacking miley with the worst words ever. “You sucked all that d*ck, only to come out looking like a perdue f*cking chicken on stage. Sit yo stupid a*s down”
But what made her say those words? Actually nothing should let anyone saying those disgusting things to another woman. Anyways, this was in response to miley's lyrics of her song "cattitude" released in May.
"I love you Nicki but I listen to Cardi"
But before nicki called out miley, the latter explained to Capitol the meaning behind those lyrics, celebrating woman empowerment and pointing out how the fact she loves nicki doesn't stop her from listening to cardi, meaning they both get a crown cause they're both queens to her
Miley never intended to diss nicki, the day she debuted this song she explained on her socials how that line was a way to celebrate women instead of putting them down or in competition. That's why then she changed it by putting other names on too
This March on Bright Minded (Miley's insta show)with Demi Lovato, Miley talked about how her 2013 VMAs performance led to some hurtful comments and memes. She says this all affected her personal life and made her insecure during the time."Everyone started comparing me to a turkey"
Nicki also came for Ashley O (miley's character in Black Mirror) saying “Now you coming out with pink wigs, all you b*tches wanna be Nicki. This is the problem.”
But that was just a character made up by Netflix directors, miley didn't decide anything about
What really shocked everyone was how nicki body shamed and sl*t shamed miley who was, at the time, a married woman, going against herself who's always claimed to be an active feminist. This is not feminism, even if she wanted to prove a point, she burned it all by saying those things
There are several videos of miley listening to nicki, or moments in which she publicly supported her (remember when she posted this video of her dancing to "chun li" in 2018), but still nicki decided to offend and disrespect her in the lowest way ever.
During Bright Minded with Paris Hilton,Paris was asked about who her favourite pop stars were and when she mentioned nicki, miley screamed "yass",confirming once again how she doesn't want to act childish but keeps respecting every woman, especially who works in her same industry
Despite all the hate miley received from nicki these years, she never unfollowed her on Instagram (while nicki did instead)and kept supporting her trying to forget everything, cause she acts the way she speaks, she's a feminist and would never enjoy having a beef with another woman
Here another proof of how miley never wanted those lyrics to be shady, she listens to cardi as well as nicki. There was no point to come for miley in that low way
As y'all can see from the replies or quotes, nicki minaj fans aren't able to have a discussion in a polite way, they just enjoy insulting everyone who don't think like them, that's so childish and sad
