Time to continue my Twin Peaks: The Return rewatch with Part 12 "Let's Rock." Back during first airing, I thought this was the weakest installment. Let's see if my opinion still holds up. THREAD 1/
The opening scene is great. I loved hearing the history of the Blue Rose Task Force and would happily watch a spinoff focused on it. 2/
Albert: Everyone who's ever been involved with the Blue Rose has mysteriously disappeared so we were wondering--
Tammy:

Note the same Angelo Badalamenti's music cue here that appears when Cooper discovers the "Let's Rock" message on Agent Desmond's car in FWWM - "Back to Fat Trout" (Unease Motif/The Woods)." 4/
My favorite scene of Part 12 is Sarah at the supermarket. Even in her 70s, Grace Zabriskie has lost none of her sheer power and intensity. I believe "Something happened to me" is a reference to her swallowing the frogmoth as a little girl and the men coming are the Woodsmen. 5/
Another powerhouse performance from Grace Zabriskie. And I sympathize with Sarah in this scene. Though I don't doubt the sincerity of Hawk's offer to help, I feel like the whole town had wilfully forgotten about Sarah until her supermarket freakout. 6/
I would just like to remind everyone that none of this would have been possible without Jade's kindness in returning the key. 7/
Ben's longing for the (possibly idealized) past is right on brand for his character. 8/
The scene with the French Woman is not really about her, but about Albert and his relationship with Gordon. Miguel Ferrer is brilliant in this scene - no need for big, sarcastic monologues like those from S1/S2 when he can express so much through subtlest of means. 9/
Though I enjoy Russ Tamblyn losing his sh^t, I admit I find another Dr. Amp scene repetitive partly because there is no escalation. But I guess those scenes are really more about Nadine and his effect on her. 10/
I remember how in 2017 people were freaking out about the absence of Audrey but when she finally appeared, they were even more furious. I find her storyline intriguing, though I wish she wasn't as isolated from the other characters. But I believe now that was purposeful. 11/
Even though I find this Roadhouse scene mostly forgettable, there's a notable appearance by Scott Coffey who also appeared in Mulholland Drive, and directed a really funny movie named Ellie Parker starring Naomi Watts, which is worth seeing for all David Lynch fans. 12/
All in all, I find Part 12 to be a bit more uneven as compared to other parts but there's still some fantastic moments, especially those couple of scenes with Grace Zabriskie and the opening Blue Rose Task Force meeting. 13/
