1/3 Why is it that fiscally small-government conservatives with anti-liberty social policies (ie pro death penalty, pro war on drugs, anti-immigration) are regularly accepted as belonging at "freedom" centred conferences/events -- yet fiscal leftists with pro-liberty social views
2/3 are not? If your average Republican congressman & Ayanna Pressley (or any of the AOC/Omar/Tlaib gang) walked into a liberty conference, no one would bat an eye at the Republican yet people would say Pressley didn't belong.
3/3 Yet, is she not "more of a libertarian" than the Republican on drugs, sex work, death penalty, immigration, accountability for branches of State (like police), etc?

That's always bothered me, & reinforces partisan stereotypes about libertarians that are not backed by truth
It's part of the reason why I respect @justinamash so much. He continues to blow the lid on any remaining false notion that Republicans are the "freedom" party. He is as principled a libertarian as it gets in Washington,& the causes he has co-sponsored with Democrats speaks to it
