I think there's a wider political point to be made from this, given we've seen the Tories have free reign to simply lie their way through to power

Doesn't matter whether it's Starmer, Corbyn, Blair leading the party. Labour will never win if there are no consequences for the Conservative Party.

At what point would the polls start dropping? At what point would the BBC or the political correspondents we see on here each day call them out? There clearly isn't a line to be crossed because otherwise they'd cross it every day.
