Is there bird twitter? I need help. Just saw a bird in my garden in London, it was brown, 3-4 horizontal bands of darker brown on tail, looked sort of like a small falcon but the beak didn't *fully* hook, sort of like a nightjar but rounder head/chin, brown legs w/ no "trousers".

I've been trying to identify it for like 20 minutes using all sorts of books and websites, got nothing

the breast of the bird did seem to be a lighter colour but i was seeing it from the back/side so I am not sure
