In a response I gave to @Yinka_freeman, I mentioned that you can generate income steadily from OPTIONS trading. Infact, it is one of the reasons why folks, including me, buy and Trade OPTIONS. Someone asked that I explain. Short Thread @Olamideyyyy

I am going to assume you previously covered our Stock Trading 101 Thread. In a Nutshell, OPTIONS trading is a BET. You are simply betting that an equity, could be STOCK, FUTURE, etc, will move up or down or none at all! That being the case, you can actually make money either way

Let us look at a very simple scenario. On my side of the Atlantic, OPTIONS are traded in Lots of 100. What this means is that, you buy or sell 100 shares of the Stock the Options is based on. In Options jargon, that Stock is called, the “underlying asset”.

Recall from our previous thread that we talked about various forms of Options. For this Thread, we will focus on COVERED CALL. At it’s core, a STOCK is simply an ownership interest you acquire in a company when you buy their Stock. When you buy that stock, they issue certificate
